Thirst is a two-channel installation film; a semi-documentary reimagining of the settlement of the American West and conquest of the desert, using juxtaposed archival footage, silent film, contemporary images and retro-futuristic music to project a palimpsest of our colonization of the wild. A copy of the film is preserved in a time capsule buried at a secret location in Imperial, California.
